ALLENTOWN, Pa., Aug. 21, 2024—Salvaggio Academy, a private elementary school founded and funded by CAI and the Salvaggio family, today announced the grand opening of its new facility on the 84-acre campus of Cedar Crest College. Salvaggio Academy, formerly CAI Learning Academy, operates under a new name to honor the Salvaggio family’s dedication to accessible education for students in the Lehigh Valley.
For over a decade, the academy has delivered a high-quality education to children in grades K-5. With the increasing student enrollment, the larger facility accommodates the demand and continues to inspire and stimulate young minds. Equipped with a newly built Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) lab, gymnasium, outdoor play area, music room and science lab, the location offers improved academic experiences and extracurricular activities for students.
“Our new home on a college campus is a dream come true, providing an inspiring backdrop for our children to learn, play and grow,” said Jessica Devlin, director of education at Salvaggio Academy. “Welcoming students to their new school motivates both them and our dedicated faculty and staff whose mission is to serve academic excellence. We are grateful for CAI, the Salvaggio family, and all our partners who have supported us on this journey.”
"Opening the doors to the school’s new location does not simply unveil a building, but rather unlocks the potential of our young learners,” said Tom Salvaggio, president and CEO at CAI. "At the point where innovation meets imagination, that’s when our students learn that their possibilities are limitless—this new setting enhances that intersection. We are excited for Salvaggio Academy’s next chapter while we continue to prepare our students to be the architects of their own bright futures.”
The academy's curriculum is positioned to leverage these new resources, offering educational experiences that inspire learners to pursue higher education. The school announced its plan to move earlier in 2024, occupying the former location of Da Vinci Science Center.
